For rim brake carbon wheels, you MUST use carbon-specific brake pads. Standard aluminum brake pads will damage the braking surface.
When to Replace
Replace pads when the wear indicators are no longer visible, or when braking performance noticeably decreases. Check pads regularly for embedded debris.
